Archery Day celebrates the practice of concentration and skill that dates back to pre-historical times. With the onset of firearms, the bow and arrow lost their utility in warfare and archery became a neglected activity. Toward the end of the 18th century, archery started to regain popularity among the English. In 1900, the sport of Archery made it debut in the summer Olympics in Paris.
