Liberace Day pays tribute to the flamboyant pianist who died on this day in 1987. Liberace was born in West Allis, Wisconsin, as Wladziu Valentino Liberace on May 16th, 1919. He started playing piano at 4 years old and was the top paid entertainer in the world during the 1950s-1970s.^[1]
