On National Bill Cosby Sweater Day, we celebrate by breaking out our most fashionable sweaters. Boring sweaters need not apply. This holiday celebrates the distinctive sweater fashion-sense of Bill Cosby; most likely from his appearances on the The Bill Cosby Show where he played Dr. Cliff Huxtable from 1984 to 1992.

We're not sure why January 20th was chosen for this holiday. Many times, a holiday of this type would have the date tied either to the person's birthday or the show's starting or ending dates. We've been unable to locate any such tie-in. Perhaps, its date was chosen simply for being in prime sweater wearing season.
