About the Holiday

Women's Friendship Day was created by the Kappa Delta Sorority in 1999. The friendship between women is something special. They know us better than anyone else. They are always there to listen and this is the day to celebrate our special women friends. Many states have adopted this holiday through the Governor's Proclamations.

There is also National Friendship Day for all genders celebrated the first Sunday in August.
