About the Holiday
Beaujolais Nouveau Day celebrates the first bottles of Beaujolais Nouveau wine from grapes harvested that summer. Under French law the wine may be relased at 12:01am on the third Thursday in November. France is one of the famous wine-producing countries and Beaujolais Nouveau is one of the most famous red wines. Parties are held all over France. Beaujolais Nouveau is best served cool, fifty degrees Fahrenheit, and has a fruity flavor and flowery aroma. Since fermentation is fast it should be consumed right away or within a year from being made.
