About the Holiday

Canada Day, popularly known as the "birthday of Canada", celebrates the formation of Canada from the three British provinces of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Province of Canada via the Constitution Act on July 1st, 1867. This started Canada on its path to complete independence which was completed in 1982.
