About the Holiday
Be sure to mark Corn on the Cob Day on your calendar, because it's one of those holidays you don't want to miss. Some like to boil the corn cobs, or to put it in tin-foil and then on the grill. Though, a true corn roaster will tell you the only way corn on the cob should be enjoyed is to soak the corn cobs, husks and all, in sugar water for at least an hour. When the grill is good and ready, transfer the cobs, husks and all, right from the water to the grill. When the husks, get good and black on the outside, the corn should be ready (you can peek beneath the husk on one to make sure). Peel back the husk and use as a handle for the corn. Dip it in a coffee can of melted butter and generously apply salt. Yum!
