About the Holiday
Curious Events Day is a day to investigate unexplained events, things that intrigue you, or basically anything that makes you scratch your head and ponder. Examples of some things that may make you go hmm include the Bermuda Triangle, Yeti/Big Foot sightings, the Loch Ness monster, crop circles, UFO or alien sightings, Stonehenge, etc. Or, less popular and more personal curious events like where does a sock disappear after being laundered or what the heck did the vacuum just suck up that sounded pretty big.
In most cases, a healthy dose of curiosity is a good thing...
- Curiosity is natural to the soul of man and interesting objects have a powerful influence on our affections. Daniel Boone
- We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we're curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths. Walt Disney
Just don't get too curious ("I wonder what my neighbor is doing in his garage so late at night?", "where are they getting all that money?") as the old proverb goes... "curiosity killed the cat".
