Diary Day is celebrated annually on June 12th, in honor of a little girl who kept perhaps the world's most famous diary. Anne Frank was born on June 12th, 1929. The earliest dairies are believed to have originated before the 10th century in the medieval Near East, Arabic region, with the earliest known surviving diary dating from the 11th century that belonged to Ibn Banna.[1]
