About the Holiday
Sometimes it's proper to be disobedient -- not doing something you know is wrong, standing up to injustice, etc. We're assuming that Disobedience Day is paying tribute to the proper instances of disobedience that change the world for the better. The civil disobedience protests led by Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King, Jr. are textbook examples of how peaceful disobedience can be used to gain independence or fairness.
