Geek Pride Day, or to some Nerd Pride Day, whichever one you prefer to be called, is a day for geeks to take pride in their geekness. Why is this holiday celebrated on this day? Because it coincides with the premiere of the first Star Wars movie back in 1977. This holiday has been celebrated since 2006, the first celebration occurred all over Spain and on the Internet with this holiday growing in popularity thanks to media publicity.
