About the Holiday
National Cancer Survivors Day (NCSD) is a celebration of life to to let people know that life after a cancer diagnosis can be meaningful and productive. When people are diagnosed with cancer, they need to know that many people beat the disease -- even in the toughest of circumstances. Positive energy and a positive outlook can be one of the best weapons a person has in their battle. To help get the word out, attend a local NSCD event near you. More information can be found at the official NCSD website.
This holiday was started in 1988 by the non-profit National Cancer Survivors Day Foundation.
