About the Holiday
Prior to National Caviar Day you may want save up a little as this holiday, celebrated properly, could get a little pricey. Caviar is salted as fish eggs, or roe, traditionally from the Beluga, Ossetra or Sevruga sturgeons of the Caspian and Black Seas; though lesser regarded caviar can come from other regions and fish species. Higher-end caviar can fetch more than $1,000 per pound. Bon apetit!
