Did you know that 1 1/2 million tons of crab are consumed every year around the world?! If our calculations are correct that's about 3 BILLION pounds annually!! OK, that's a lot of crabmeat. Hence, we celebrate National Crabmeat Day because - quite frankly - with numbers like that, it deserves a celebration.
