About the Holiday
National Cream-Filled Donut Day is a day dedicated to sweet and delicious cream-filled donuts. We can thank the Dutch for the invention of donuts, or oil cakes as they were once called. The original donuts had no holes, just as cream-filled donuts, but donuts with holes and donut holes were adopted shortly after their recognition in the United States. So, whether it is chocolate, vanilla, Bavarian, or banana, this is the day to eat an extra donut.
A good day for just a simple stop at the donut shop, buy a dozen or so, and feed the co-workers breakfast.
