December 6th marks the anniversary of the worst mining accident in history. In 1907 hundreds of miners were killed in Monongah, W.Va. Miners constantly have to contend with health and safety issues. National Miners Day commemorates miners past and present for their work and sacrifice for doing one of the most dangerous jobs on earth.
