An incredible Italian treat, Spumoni is an ice cream made of different layers of chocolate, pistachio and cherry flavors, and often includes bits of fruit and nuts. Originating in Naples, Italy, Spumoni was brought to the US in the late 1800s, and Neopolitan ice cream is derived from it. "Mangi bene" (Eat well!) this National Spumoni Day.
