About the Holiday
National Wear Red Day® origin traces back to 2002 when The Heart Truth, a national campaign dedicated to raising awareness about the risks of heart disease in women, launched it's red dress logo. Show your support and help remind women to have their heart health checked regularly by wearing red and reminding people that heart disease is the number one killer of women[1], killing more women than all forms of cancer combined[2].
