Peppermint Patty Day celebrates this refreshing candy that was created in 1940 by York Cone Company in York, Pennsylvania. The traditional peppermint patty is round with white peppermint on the inside covered with dark chocolate. With Valentine's Day approaching you can add some red food coloring in the peppermint and make heart shaped patties.
