Pro Sports Wives Day pays tribute to the women behind the scenes who support their husbands and families while dealing with the challenges that come with the extensive travelling, training and publicity that pro athletes face. This holiday was created in 2006 by the Professional Sports Wives Association to recognize the wives of current and retired professional athletes.
