Punch the Clock Day is a day to reflect on the invention of the punch clock. This was a device used calculate employees work hours. You would punch in when you arrive and punch out when you leave for the day. Also, you likely had to punch in/out for lunch. I'll bet employees were not tardy as often back when these were used.
