About the Holiday
Three Kings Day, or the feast of the Epiphany, ends the twelve days of Christmas by honoring the Three Kings, Caspar, Melchior and Balthasar, who saw the bright star on the night that Jesus was born and followed it to Bethlehem to present the Christ baby with gold, frankincense and myrrh. There are differences between the Eastern and Western Christian Churches where the Western Church believes Dec. 25th to be the birth of Jesus, whereas the Eastern Church observers January 6th as the birth.
