About the Holiday
Bubblegum Day was created by Ruth Spiro in 2006 as a fund raiser where children didn't have to sell anything to raise money. Instead, kids would donate 50 cents, or more, for the privilege of chewing gum in class.[1] The funds raised go to any charity of the school's choice.
Did you know that Americans chew about a half a billion pounds of gum each year? Visit CandyWarehouse.com, for more interesting bubblegum facts.
