About the Holiday
Constitution Day recognizes the ratification of the United States Constitution on this day in 1787. Thirty nine men signed the Constitution changing the course of history. The U.S. Constitution is a set of governing laws that is ever changing and growing as the country grows. Rights to vote, own land, and freedom of assembly are just a few of the rights granted under the Constitution. This holiday is also referred to as Citizenship Day: a day we recognize all who have become U.S. citizens.
