Cyber Monday is the online equivalent of Black Friday. This is the official kick-off of the online holiday shopping season. Some proclaim this to be the busiest online shopping day of the year; though, we Americans procrastinate too much for that to be the case. The true busiest day is closer to December 12th -- usually the Monday or Tuesday closest to that date -- which is about the latest reliable timing for most online retailers to be able to ship in time for Christmas without additional rush fees.

Though, it's good to keep in mind that even by the December 12th date, many of the more popular items may be sold out.
