About the Holiday
Good Neighbor Day is a day you should acknowledge your neighbors. Created in the early 1970s by Mrs. Becky Mattson of Lakeside, Montana who wanted a day to celebrate the importance of good neighbor. Neighbors are there when you need to borrow an egg or sugar, jump start your car, share your garden veggies, clear out your snow, etc. Many form friendships and touch their neighbors lives in a positive way. Today do something special for your neighbors to show you care and appreciate them. Make a point to introduce yourself to a neighbor you do not know. Give a wave or smile at all your neighbors, especially today.
