Scrabble Day celebrates a game that is loved by millions. Scrabble is a word game that is sold only by Hasbro and is admired by many Americans, and is a part of many memories. Scrabble was invented by Alfred Mosher Butts back in 1938, and has grown in popularity worldwide. This classic game is now sold in 121 different countries, and in 29 different languages. In the United States, they even have a National Scrabble Championship. So today break out the Scrabble game and have a game night with family or friends.

This holiday is celebrated on the birthday of Scrabble's founder, Alfred Mosher Butts, who was born on April 13th, 1899.
