With the advances in technology creating a music CD as a wedding favor has become more popular. Couples put together a compilation of songs from the wedding and the reception, their favorite songs as a couple or music that has a special meaning to them and burn it to a CD and give them to their guest to enjoy. The wedding favor CD's can be creatively wrapped and displayed in a way that will compliment the colors and theme of the wedding. The possibilities are endless in creating a unique wedding favor.

  • Your music selections

Selecting the songs you would like to include on the CD is your first step. You can choose songs that will be played at the wedding or songs that have a special meaning or are favorites of the couple. You also have the flexibility of customizing the music to better suit the guests. For your younger guests, choosing music they would appreciate and enjoy, while your grandparents would probably enjoy a different style of music. You can create a label for your CD including a picture of the couple with their names and the date of the wedding. Or you can create an insert for the CD jewel case or a personalized CD sleeve using a printer, some cardstock and ribbon.

Supplies Directions
  • Cardstock
  • Printer
  • Glue Stick
  • Hole Punch
  • Ribbon
  1. Cut 8 ½ x 11 sheets of cardstock in half, giving you 5 ½ x 11 sheets.
  2. Load your printer and print your design on the cardstock.
  3. Fold the sheets in half so that you have a square.
  4. With the glue stick, seal the left and right side to create a “pocket” for the CD. Take care and only seal 1/8” so your CD's will slide in the pocket easily.
  5. It is recommended that you put a heavy book on the folded sheets to allow them to seal and dry.
  6. Insert your CD's into the sleeves
  7. Optional: Punch a hole in the top center and thread with a ribbon that you can either tie in a bow or a knot.
