About the Holiday

Oh heavenly day, it's National Milk Chocolate Day! This delectable treat was invented by the Swiss confectioner, Daniel Peter, in 1875 when he combined cocoa powder with condensed milk - which, ironically, was the brainchild of Peter's neighbor, Henri Nestle. Peter won the silver medal for his new invention at the Paris World's Fair in 1878.
