World Vegetarian Day is a day for all of those who choose not to eat meat. Many vegetarians have chosen this, as they do not believe in killing animals for food. This is a day to help raise awareness of the issues surrounding cruelty to animals on farms and slaughterhouses.
Even if you're not a vegetarian, why not join in the celebration by only eating fruits and vegetables today? Besides being part of the day's festivities, being extra healthy for the day isn't such a bad thing.
