About the Holiday
On April 19th, we celebrate one of the most popular vegetables used in cooking, a relative of the onion and chive, and often referred to as a natural antibiotic. Vampires beware for this is Garlic Day. Garlic can be eaten raw or cooked. It has many medicinal values like helping fight off colds and flu, reduces cholesterol, lowers plaque build up in arteries, reduces fungal and yeast infections, reduces blood pressure, and decreases clot formation. Historically, garlic was used to ward off evil spirits and vampires.
