About the Holiday
Good Friday is a Christian holiday that marks the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. According to the New Testament, Jesus was crucified on Good Friday and had risen from the dead on Easter Sunday. According to tradition and belief, Catholics treat Good Friday as a fasting day where they should have one main, small meal and abstain from eating meat. Many also attend the Stations of the Cross which depict the final hours leading up to and including Jesus's crucifixion.
